Open Letter to the killer of little children

Slain Terrorist,

Did you look into the eyes of that little child you shot down, see the hope fade away? Did you notice the quivering of lips of the young boy who sank under his class desk as he unsuccessfully tried to evade your bullet? If you did not, then it makes no sense writing to you, does it? But then try I must, because if there is evil in you, then I should believe that there must have been some good(?) in you too. Some better judgement then, perhaps? But no you chose children, defenseless, innocent to the grown-up crimes performed by you and the government or whoever! For them it was a normal day to school, learn a little, play lots, laugh lots and share the joys of friendship that only school days can foster. One little boy would have been worried over the Gobi Parathas that his mum had sent for lunch, and he couldn't wait for lunch time! Another little girl would've worried of how would she evade the maths teacher because of the incomplete homework, while another little boy would have wondered if his next prank on the class teacher would be fun at all? But finally on 16-12-14 what did they all end up worrying about? Their lives! They were going to school!! Not the war front? They never guessed that in a span of a few hours away from home, they would be wanting to never go to school again, or would never be able to! Ever!

Rather than a math class, they ended up with a scene from that gangster film that their parents told them never to watch. For real! They ended up hugging each other out. Not knowing, why they were being targeted or when their turn be next. Many of the children, who lived to tell a terrible tale-the ones who witnessed you whilst you killed in sheer and gay abandon now scarred for life. How would you ever live down the scene of your best friend being gunned down? You can't, right?

So here's the thing, dead man, if there was ever a glimmer of goodness in you, I think it disappeared when you were a child. A child knows no politics, a child knows no propaganda, a child knows no religion, just understands love and respect. Where ever you journey in your afterlife(if there is one) please know this, Slain terrorist, you carry with you the murders of many innocent children who had no say or no connection to whatever it is that you were hoping to achieve or seek revenge for.

In Solidarity with the families of the children who lost their lives in Peshawar
